Editorial standards
How this site is written.
Field & Form Architecture is a fictional residential architecture studio and a portfolio concept created by Site Proper. It offers no architectural services, and its projects are conceptual design studies.
Who writes it
Articles, guides and answers are published under the name “Field & Form Concept Editorial”. That is the editorial voice of a fictional studio. The content is written and maintained by Site Proper. There are no invented authors, architects or credentials anywhere on the site.
What is fictional, and what isn’t
- Fictional: the studio, its team, and the three design studies, which are labeled as conceptual and shown with renderings.
- Real and general: the planning advice in Field Notes, the glossary, the questions and answers and the two planning tools. They describe how residential projects commonly work.
How claims are handled
- No invented statistics, studies, prices, timelines, reviews or client stories.
- Costs and durations are described as ranges with the factors that change them, never as single figures.
- Anything that depends on location, such as zoning, permits, structure or finance, is flagged as varying by jurisdiction and needing confirmation from qualified local professionals.
- Each article shows when it was published and, if it changes materially, when it was last reviewed.
Answer-first structure
Articles open with a short, self-contained answer, followed by key takeaways and clearly headed sections. FAQ answers are written to make sense on their own. This makes the content easier to skim, to read aloud and to quote accurately.
Search engines and AI systems
Every page is marked noindex, nofollow, both in the page and in an HTTP header, because Field & Form is not a real business and shouldn’t appear in search results. Crawling is still allowed so that crawlers can see that instruction.
The site also publishes llms.txt and llms-full.txt, plain-text summaries for AI systems that begin with the same disclosure as this page. Structured data describes the studio as fictional and the projects as concepts.
